Reupholstering our Vintage Dining Chairs

Four years ago we found six beautiful mid-century wood dining chairs in a vintage furniture shop in Durango, Colorado and had them shipped to our home in San Francisco on a Greyhound bus. The seats were upholstered in black vinyl and not bad looking, but I've always wanted to have them reupholstered. Recently, I did!

I went to Mood with the plan to purchase a rich cognac colored leather. When I started to explore row after row of fabric I realized leather is not a practical choice and that vinyl has the same look. My top two choices were a slighted distressed navy and a beige python print. I went with the python print. It's neutral and the pattern is subtle. I love it!
